چکیده
The study of titania-supported cobalt nanoparticles is relevant for industrial Fischer-Tropsch synthesis (FTS). Herein, we report about various deactivation pathways supported on P25 titania (cobalt loading 2–8 wt%) under simulated high conversion conditions using in situ Mössbauer spectroscopy. A fraction metallic was oxidized humid FTS conditions. absolute amount ∼ 1.2 wt% independent the loading, indicating that specific cobalt-titanol interactions are involved oxidation process. formation cobalt-titanate-like compounds only observed very water-to-hydrogen ratios absence carbon monoxide. Steam considerably enhances sintering As such, not caused by but also enhancing active phase.

متن کاملIn situ XRD investigation of the evolution of alumina-supported cobalt catalysts under realistic conditions of Fischer-Tropsch synthesis.
The structure-activity relations in the alumina-supported cobalt catalysts are studied at the realistic conditions of Fischer-Tropsch synthesis using in situ time-resolved XRD and catalytic measurements. Cobalt sintering during the first 3-5 h of the reaction and cobalt carbidisation at a longer time on stream (>8 h) coincide with catalyst deactivation.

Although we often understand empirically what constitutes an active catalyst, there is still much to be understood fundamentally about how catalytic performance is influenced by formulation. Catalysts are often designed to have a microstructure and nanostructure that can influence performance but that is rarely considered when correlating structure with function. Fischer-Tropsch synthesis (FTS)...

Fischer-Tropsch synthesis is a part of Gas-to Liquids (GTL), Biomass-to-Liquids (BTL) and Coal to Liquids (CTL) technologies, which produce alternatives clean fuels from natural gas, biomass and coal. The catalytic performance of cobalt catalysts in Fischer-Tropsch synthesis strongly depends on the size of cobalt particles in nanoscale range (6-30 nm). Cobalt catalysts are usually prepared via ...
